Move to Arizona

After we got married. We moved to Arizona. Harper flew back with my new in-laws and we drove a uhaul down. I didn't realize how hard it was going to be on me and my parents to have Harper fly down and not going with us in the uhaul. I think it hit my parents harder because they were not going to be able to see her in just a few days like I was. It was so hard leaving my family behind.

We started out journey by going from St. Maries to my grandparents in Plains Montana. We made it there later than I had wanted to but the weather was not cooperating with us. We hit a snow storm and had to drive slow. Which sucked. But when we finally made it I was happy so we could see my grandparents before we left for Utah.

The day we left my grandparents house we went to the tribal office and got my tribal id so we had that before we got to Arizona. We tried to stop in and see my uncle but he was already gone. I was bummed not getting to see him.

Once we finally got on the road we drove to Billings and gassed up and ate then headed to Salt Lake. It was a long drive. We got to the hotel late at night so we got to see on the way into Salt Lake all the lights. Which was cool to see. We went and got food then went and checked into out hotel.

When we left Salt Lake we went to Provo and had lunch with a friend of ours from St. Maries. It was nice to see her. From Provo we went to Cedar City and stayed there for the night. I got to meet Kolby's family there. It was fun getting to know them all. We stayed with his uncle Matt and aunt Rachel that night and went out the next morning with everyone for lunch. After lunch we went to his cousin Crysta's hair salon and she cut my hair for me. We got to go see her house. Then said our good-byes to everyone and headed to Hurricane to see his grandparents. It was a short visit but we got to at least see them. Once we left his grandparents house we headed to Las Vegas.

We got to Vegas and had stayed at the Luxor. It was a very nice hotel. The room was amazing. The whole hotel had a Egyptian theme. Its the shape of a pyramid and had all the pictures and decorations inside of all the Egyptian decorations. Even the rooms had all the decorations. The colors were golds. The room we had looked over Vegas. The morning before we left Vegas we went and walked the strip. It was a fun experience.  I would of liked to have more time to look at all the shops on the strip before we left. But we didn't. We ate a P.F. Chang. That was my first time there. The food was amazing also. It was so worth it. Got some souvenirs for my family. Then we headed back to the uhaul and headed the rest of the way to Arizona.

We left Vegas and headed to Surprise. It took us like 6 hours and when we got there all I wanted to do was see Harper. When we got to the church where they all were watching the kids do the pinewood derby. She was so excited to see us. Just as excited as I was to see her.

The reception

We did not celebrate the reception the same night as the wedding. We had the wedding on a Friday night and celebrated it on the Saturday night. Now that I look at it I am kinda bummed that we didn't get some pictures after the wedding with the guests that could not make it the next night.

Right after Harper's birthday party we then got everything ready for the reception. Getting everything to the church, getting the balloons there, and then setting up the church. It went way faster than I had thought it was going to. I really appreciated all the help that we had got with setting up and getting the food. I really appreciated it when the ladies in the church helped by making at least one salad or tray of food to bring. It meant so much to us.

We all had so much fun. We had such a good turn out.

We all ate then it was time for the cake.

We were so blessed to have everyone show up and share the special moment with us. It was not as many as people as we had invited but it was enough to have fun.

Harper loved all the attention she was getting even when she was still not feeling good. She even let auntie Jessica take pictures.

Our wedding February 4th

So like I had said in the blog of Harper's birthday. It was a very big and busy weekend for all of us. Not only did we celebrate Harper turning 1. We also celebrated Kolby and mines wedding. We were busy decorating and getting ready for both. They were both celebrated on the same day. We celebrated everything on February 5th.

The day of the wedding had finally came. I was getting more nervous than i had ever thought I would get. It didn't help that Harper woke up sick that morning and my mom had to bring her to the clinic. So worrying about her and getting ready for the wedding was all getting to me at once. Once I got the message from my mom that Harper was doing okay and the doctors gave her medicine my nerves were getting better.

The time came to go to get my hair done. Bad thing was my mom had the truck. So my soon to be sister-in-law came to the rescue and brought me to get my hair done. Luckily we had found someone to do my hair after the person who was supposed to do it moved without calling and canceling appointments. My sister Kristin contacted Kim Balbi and we were able to get in with her and have her do my hair. She did a fantastic job.

After we got done with my hair Jessica had to go get ready so Kristin brought me up to my parents house so I could run in and get the wedding dress. Once we got the dress we hurried to her house to do my makeup. She was a huge help. After the makeup was on we had to hurry to get to the church and get in and finally in the dress.

After I was all ready it was time for the big moment. But first we had to have the flower girl and ring bearer go before me.

We were all worried that they would get to shy to do their parts but they did an amazing job. At this point I was holding back the tears trying my hardest not to cry before I walked out the door. Didn't help when my dad whispered in my ear that he was going to kiss me on the cheek when he hands me off.

Harper turns 1

There was quite an adventure when Harper turned one. It was a big weekend for the both of us.

Harper turned 1 on February 3, 2011. Boy how the time flew. It had seemed like she was just born. Harper loved all the attention that she was getting from everyone that had came. Between all the kids and adults she was getting more than enough attention. Even though we celebrated her birthday 2 days later she still had a very eventful weekend.
Getting ready to open my presents.

Harper loved playing with all of her presents that she got. In fact she loved them. She was not camera shy i know that one for a fact. She got some really cute gifts.
She got a baby doll. She loves it to death. She even calls it baby.
Just gotta love the facial expression.

Harper's cake was a jungle theme cake. So we had it Madagascar theme. It was such a cute cake. My friend who worked in the bakery at IGA did an amazing job on it. Props on it have to go to Hannah Kruger. All the little kids even got a huge kick out of the cake.

The cake was so cute that I did not want to cut into it. But we had to. Harper loved the cake also. So much she made a mess all over the place with it. It was so cute even though it was a huge mess to clean up in the end.
Just getting her cake and testing it out.

 Now comes the mess.
 Making some cute messy faces.
All done and messy. Time for my bath.

We had such a good time and got to spend Harper's first birthday with some really good friends and family.
