Kameron Scott Peterson

Towards the end of the pregnancy i started feeling bad again. Then at 35 weeks my contractions started coming. The doctors had to stop them twice. Then once i was at 37 weeks they stopped stopping them. So we thought any day he could come.

Needless to say he didn't want to make an early appearance. We set up our induction day June 4th. The night of the 3rd seemed like the longest day ever. Having to wait for a phone call to come on in. Got the call they had a room ready. So we got up and ready to head out.

Once we got to the hospital they started all the questions and the pitocin. Got my epidural and 8:30 and they broke my water at around 9. Then come the contractions. Which i could feel. They had me use the peanut shaped birthing ball to help progress my dilation.  Which helped. Then they moved me to my other side. Thats when Kameron didn't like it any more.

By now my mother in law and sister in law (our photographer) were there. My nurse couldn't leave the room because anytime she would the monitor would lose his heartbeat. My mother in law and sister in law went to grab them and my husband food. Needless to say they had to hurry fast. They got back to the room right into my first push.

I pushed for what seemed 10-15 minutes but it was actually only 5. Longest 5 minutes of my life.

Even though labor was rough i would not change anything. I now have an amazing family that i am so blessed with.

Finding out we were expecting

Alright i think its finally time to start blogging again. Its been forever. So i will start off with our newest addition to the family.

In October 2012 we found out we were expecting. Ultrasound confirmed we were 6weeks along.

Its crazy to think that a baby is ever this small.

Right after we found out we went to Sea World for our vacation. We came back from vacation right before Halloween. I couldn't keep it in anymore and once we were back and everyone was together we told them all.

Let's just say it was not a easy pregnancy at all. I was on nausea medicine the whole pregnancy. Got so bad that i had to be on iv fluid and nausea medicine pump. It was not fun at all. Couldn't barely leave the house.

Because of the nausea some days seemed to drag on. Luckily Harper was such a good help when mommy needed help.

The day we found out what we were having was such a good day.

Harper's shirt says it all. Find out we were having a boy. Which was more than fine with us. Now we have our boy and girl.

Mom and Grandma come to Visit.

At the end of March my mom and grandma both flew down to visit with us. It was so nice being able to see both my mom and my grandma. Even though I had just seen my mom the beginning of February it was still good to see her and I had not seen my grandma since September besides on Skype during Christmas.

While they were here we had to try to get things figured out what to do while they were here. So we had two big plans. Other then those plans we just went with the flow.

We went to a Spring Training game one of the nights. It was a nice experience to watch a baseball game. Harper enjoyed it. It was almost all of our first time at a Spring Training game. Even though it was not like going to an actual baseball game it was still a wonderful experience.

The other big thing we had planned was we went to the zoo. My grandma had never  been to a zoo so i thought that it was a good idea. We went also with one of my friends from Arizona and her kids. It was fun. Got to see a lot of animals. I love being able to go to the zoo and seeing them all. Only wish they had an elephant. Mine and Harper's favorite part of the zoo is being able to feed the Giraffes. We packed lunches so my grandma could eat when she needed to. So before we left it was time to eat our lunches. Before we completely left the zoo we went and looked at the gift shop.

Another day we went to Sam's Club where my husband works and got my mom and sister a new phone. Plus my husband got me a new purse. From there we went to the Mall. Which is almost right next door. We went to lunch there ate at Johnny Rocket. Then we walked the mall and headed back to the apartment.

Harper also got to bring her grandma and great grandma to the park in our apartment complex which is right basically outside our door. She loved being able to play over there with her Nama. She got to bring her bike from Christmas over to the park and show them how to ride it. Even though she couldn't reach the peddles.

By the time the visit was over I was not ready for them to leave. But the visit was really nice. It was fun having my family here. I miss them all so much. It sucks sometimes living so far away.

Old Hat New Hat

So February was a very packed month with activities. The next big thing that we had happen in was Jessica's baby shower. Keri, Natalie, and I threw her a baby shower. It was a lot of work to get everything done. All the main decorations were made by hand. I drew and painted 2 big backdrops.

These are the backdrops that i did for the baby shower. They were so time consuming. But worth it in the end.

There were a lot of the hats that are in the Old Hat New Hat book that we made. They all looked just like the ones that were in the book. My sister in law had no idea what the theme was. We surprised her. She was not allowed to go upstairs at all if she came over to my mother in laws house. It was sad in some parts of her not being able to come over unannounced. It was quite lonely without her there. But so worth it. Not as many people came that we had thought were going to but it was still a good turn out. She got a lot of gifts for  McKenna.

My birthday

Not to much exciting for my birthday. Everyone thinks thought that you need to go out and party for your 21st birthday to have a good night. But in reality you don't. Its just as fun being sober and being able to remember your night. We went out to dinner with my husbands whole family. It was a nice night. We had a great dinner of course at my favorite Mexican restaurant. It was oh so yummy. Then of course they sang happy birthday to me and embarrassed me. But it was nice to have Scott, Keri, Jaxin, Stockton, Jessica, Brian, Maci, Kernan, the other grandparents (Keri's parents), Kolby, Harper, and me. So we had a big group of people to celebrate with.

Wicked

I didn't get any pictures which was a bummer but we couldn't take pictures. But we went to watch Wicked the day before my birthday. It was a very fun experience. I would love to do it again. It was so fun to watch and see how many people they had in the play and how well they all did in their parts. I would so recommend going and watching it. It is so worth it.

It was a girls night out minus Harper. Her and daddy had a day to themselves. Everyone that went included Keri and her mom, Jaxin, Jessica, Maci, and me. You could say McKenna was there because Jessica was still pregnant with her.

Our 1st Anniversary

This post is going to be a short one. But our first anniversary was on February 4th. Its hard to believe that we have been married for a year. I am so blessed to have met and married such an amazing man. For our anniversary dinner we went out to dinner. It was nice to be able to go out and celebrate out marriage. We went to a mexican restaurant that is hands down my favorite as of right not. Haven't found one better that I like. We had the rest of the family come with us. Then we saw some friends there and they also joined us for dinner. It was a good night.
